The Power of Intent:  Gratitude
by Jodi A. Zeramby

Today I feel gratitude pour through me. Gratitude for my lifestyle, for all the wonderful events that fit into this puzzle, my puzzle, my life. I feel gratitude for my job, my house, my material possessions; I feel gratitude for my spouse, my family, my friends, my colleagues, and for those people with whom I interact; I feel gratitude for the knowledge I receive and transfer; I feel gratitude for the wondrous intra-workings of the universe. Even as I struggle, I laugh at the challenges because I am alive and happy and striving. As I fight for my livelihood and accept each change as it comes, I am bolstered. I find this reality—fascinating. I look forward to tomorrow. And so, these past days as I have grasped at the small indentations in life, struggling upward, plodding one small step by the next small step toward my goals, I find that I am reaching the summits! Although there were times when I could not see my progress, others did, even as they cheered me on. I am validated. It gives me renewed hope for all the areas within my world where I step forth purposefully, even while I cannot see through the miasma of chaos prevalent in life. I maintain my balance by understanding that I need not know the how’s, only the what’s—my goals.

Around me I hear those who bemoan their lots in life, who complain and dwell on what they lack. They remind me of still portraits, of snapshots taken during melancholy moments:  Looking up the hill that must be climbed at the end of a long day. An autumn leaf floating on a muddy puddle. A person drinking an expensive bottle of wine alone on New Year’s Eve. Mist rising off a frozen lake. The ruffling of a wheat field like fingers through hair. A shy teen leaning against the far wall waiting to be asked to dance. A seagull crying as it wheels over the ocean. Feet swollen and blistered from walking in the wrong direction.

We talk about life, about attitude and perspective. We alter our outlook and count our blessings.  Emotions shift toward positive outcomes: Standing in the rain, watching a rainbow form across the way. Finding five dollars on the street after counting pennies to buy milk. Walking through clouds on a mountain peak toward a spectacular vista. Perceiving the light fringing a closed door in a dark room. Viewing the first tulip blooming after the winter snows.

And, finally, we are present and accepting of each moment. Life is not so bad. In fact, it is quite wonderful! We experience life in all its glory, recount our blessings, and visualize our pleasure and satisfaction: Reading before a roaring fire while wrapped in an afghan. Perfect silence as snow blankets the city. New adventures in well-known areas. Sailing the sheltered cove at sunset. Hands clasped in friendship. Rambunctious puppies spilling over each other to kiss you. A career that makes your heart sing. Writings that alter your perception. Because, as Langston Hughes so wonderfully states: we are “Walkers With The Dawn.”

Being walkers with the dawn and morning,
Walkers with the sun and morning,
We are not afraid of night,
Nor days of gloom,
Nor darkness--
Being walkers with the sun and morning.

And so we walk our roads, accepting all that occurs in our lives—the magnificent unfolding of events that we create.  We seek balance in all matters, which includes creating viewpoints that cut through the grays of life, the blurry lines between our perceptions and others’ viewpoints, the perceived struggles we experience while attempting to understand this beautiful, heart-aching, wonderful world, and the outcomes of actions people take while attempting to mold their realities. Most importantly, we appreciate each moment, respectful of others’ stories but standing true within our own.

Inspired by E.E. Cummings, as I start each day, so I end it:

I thank You God for most this amazing day: for the leaping greenly spirits of trees and a blue true dream of sky; and for everything which is natural which is infinite which is yes

Working Energetically with Children

by Peggy Zeramby

It is a question we often discuss.  I receive many questions about what age is appropriate or will a certain attunement be too powerful?  Can a child withstand the energetic shifts that come from the attunements?  If so, what is okay and what is not?

Many parents are seeing how advanced the children are today entering into the earth plane.  They are choosing to have the child receive their Reiki attunements as well as other attunements.   Sometimes, it is perfect, and other times it feels a bit overwhelming.  Plus, to make that decision as an adult for our child or children can be daunting.  Am I hearing correctly?  Am I pushing my child?  Will it hurt them?

I have worked many times with children.  When the child is present, I feel all the Angels, Ascended Masters and all the high energy beings circling around the girl or boy.  I am told, “do nothing, we are doing all that is meant to happen”.  I hold the child while my body is used as a grounding vehicle for the energetic support to enter into the physical plane.   I am not involved in any of the decisions as to what or when anything is received, if anything at all.  Sometimes I feel shifts occur, sometimes nothing.  It is all perfect.

What is our role with these children that are here already and coming in?  What is okay to do or not do?  I am told that many of these children are already able to do more than what we believe.  I am told that some need a simple calibration that can be facilitated through one of us without our awareness.  Or some need quite a bit of support and can receive it through a facilitator’s body grounding in the “method” that is perfect for that little person.   Again, it is not for us to decide.  These little people are already equipped with decision-making ability and do so with their energetic team.

At some point, I can see the children choosing to become certified Reiki Masters, or AngelLink facilitators or even simply the “Voices of Love” in others’ lives.  At that point, taking the steps to receive the titles or labels will be their conscious choice.   It will be the confirmation of the Physical Aspect of their Being aligned with what we have seen all along.

As we hold a child, touch a shoulder, kiss a cheek, the choice to receive energetic support is being facilitated many times without our conscious awareness.  Such a gift!

Manifesting Simply

by Peggy Zeramby

Power vs Empowerment…..

in the Manifestation Process

Manifesting Simply!  Manifesting Quickly!  Moving forward with Love and Ease.

I am blessed with a little boy in my home.  At nine months old he started to focus on what to do with his feet.  He would concentrate whenever he had the chance on what his feet could do.  Three to four weeks went by, and his foot moved the way his brain wanted it to.  The moment this happened, he stopped breathing out of excitement, and his expression showed disbelief that his body was finally moving the way he had willed it to so many times before that moment!  Perfect.  Something that we so innately do -- manifest simply.

He kept it easy; he didn’t give up.  He did not have all the many thousand of thoughts that we have running through our heads throughout the day…he still ate, slept, played, learned, grew, and followed his inner urgings to focus his intent on moving his feet forward.  He didn’t have any emotional thought of not being able to do it.  He didn’t have fear that it couldn’t happen.  He was not bogged down with ego.  It was his divine right to walk.  His body was made to walk, and it was going to happen.  Days before he turned ten months old, he took his first step.  At thirteen months old, he is an experienced runner!

Clearing clutter out of our lives is very important on so many levels and essential to manifesting simply. It impacts our lives when we are coming from a place of Power or Empowerment.  You might ask how we can create harmony in our lives as we have jobs, responsibilities, families, friends, etc. We have many areas where we can tackle clutter: our homes (as the outer is a reflection of the inner!), our minds and emotions (through choosing our thoughts or meditating regularly), and our physical bodies (through cleansing and exercise).  There are so many ways we can begin.  What it really symbolizes is ”clearing the clutter” energetically.  Keep it simple, clear the clutter, open your mind, know that harmony is our divine right, focus on the end result, and “walk” like my little one did.

There is a catch.  You knew there was, didn’t you?!  J There is the realization that Empowerment and Power are two different intentions.  When we are Empowered, we are in a state of harmony within our selves and therefore the world – remember the outer is a reflection of the inner!  A state of Empowerment is coming from a place of Higher Wisdom (same as Higher Self).  Higher Wisdom is one with our physical, emotional and mental bodies.  Higher Wisdom urges and prompts us forward.  We need to realize that we are asking for essences in our lives.  Not a specific person, specific employer, specific home, specific number of children but an essence of what it is that we are asking to experience.  Is it a life partner?  Someone who is loving, kind, loyal, romantic, wants children/doesn’t want children, spiritual/not religious/or religious within a specific faith…Jewish, Catholic, Muslim, etc.  Whatever it is that we are wanting can be manifested.  Yet, if we hold the space that we want to manifest a specific person named “John” or “Jennifer” and only him or her as the life partner, we will most likely be disappointed.  In those moments, we are in a place of power and control.  Power being that we must be the alpha, the dominating force, over our world. Or when that does not work, an outside force has imposed its will over our lives. How do we determine if we are in a place of power or empowerment?  Empowerment is a feeling of harmonious, joyful, connection to All that Is.   We will want the best for all those around us.  We will cheer ourselves on as well as the person who wants the same exact thing.  We will have the awareness that an unlimited supply of love exists.  Power will reflect itself in power plays with others, fear of an outcome or lack of an outcome, jealousy, depression, sadness, etc.

I bring us back to my little one.  He was in harmony inside his body with the intention to walk.  He was empowering himself to go forward.  He did not control it by forcing it by a specific date.  He felt the urge and moved with it.  When his body was ready, it happened.  There was no pride that it must happen. He was in complete harmony. He felt the urge to walk.  He pursued the inner urgings by intending it simply, exercising his muscles towards that goal, and it happened.

As Lightworkers, it is our responsibility to Light and Clear the way!  To calibrate our beings to our inner harmony and therefore manifest simply!  To be in a state of joy and love.  This anchors Empowerment and Manifestation for ourselves as well as all those on the Earth plane.  It is a magical time in our lives!  Embrace your Higher Wisdom…it is the first step to Self-Actualization!
